The resultant portfolio will reflect the final output from SCOPE and a risk management overlay that contemplates the vagaries of daily stock market fluctuations.
EGG incorporates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations into its investment process using the AME (Aware, Monitor, Engage) framework.
By leveraging publicly available data from company reports, government agencies and data vendors, combined with active company engagement, EGG is able to discuss issues that might improve a company’s operations and stock market standing.
Our proprietary ESG dashboard tracks up to 24 factors at portfolio and stock levels, prioritising governance as the foundation of sound social and environmental practices. Regular reviews informed by the dashboard ensure focused engagement with company management teams, driving improved ESG behaviours at investee companies.
In 2014, Eley Griffiths Group elected to become a foundation portfolio manager with ASX-listed Future Generation Australia Limited (FGX), a first of its kind, listed childrens charity. 1% of FGX’s assets are invested with a number of social impact partners and other not-for-profit organisations.
After nearly a decade of serving FGX, staff and directors of Eley Griffiths Group decided that our group ought do more for needy charities and established an internal philanthropic committee with the view to directly supporting nominated groups.

Brian Eley co-founded Eley Griffiths Group with Ben Griffiths in December 2002 following a successful career managing portfolios for BT Financial management and ING Investment Management.
The pair were determined to bring their significant small cap experience, market instincts and energy to the boutique management space, no small risk at the time.
Brian loved analyzing companies, interrogating management teams and spending time refining and optimizing our proprietary investment process. His clever insights interwoven with a razor-sharp wit were a high point of a day’s work at Eley Griffiths Group.
In early 2011 Brian was diagnosed with a neurological condition, later confirmed as motor neurone disease (MND). He continued to work from Perth, making frequent flights across to Sydney to meet companies, engage with clients and keep up relations with brokers and investment banks.
His decision to retire was not an easy one with his deteriorating condition robbing him of his ability to get through a day and work to his professional best.
Brian lost his battle with MND on 18 August 2018.
